Charlotte, NC - Head Coach James Drzewiecki and the Johnson & Wales men's soccer program announced the signing of local standout Connor Savageau on Wednesday. Savageau, a resident of nearby Cornelius, is the sixth player to sign with the 2017 recruiting class.
A senior at Hough High School, Savageau plays club for LNSC Force where he has represented the side in both the NCYSA Premier League and Region 3 Premier League under head coach Steve Chaconas. He has played for the club for the past eight years and has also served as a captain for four of those seasons.
Savageau is the second player from LNSC Force to sign with the Wildcats this year, joining current teammate Seth Furman.
"Connor is a quality addition who can fill a number of roles for us across the backline and in the defensive midfield," said Drzewiecki. "He takes the tactical side of the game very seriously and has been playing at a high level with his club side. Like the other members of the recruiting class, he's a strong student and we feel he has the tools to grow into an excellent college player. We're excited to have him here."
Savageau currently carries a 3.7 GPA and is planning to major in Business/Marketing. He is the son of Elizabeth Jackson and Ryan Savageau.
