Elizabeth City, NC - Seven different players found the back of the net as the Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team claimed a 10-0 victory at Mid-Atlantic Christian on Friday.
Jalen Jackson recorded a hat trick for the Wildcats (6-0-1), scoring in the 21st, 29th, and 53rd minutes to increase his season tally to 12 goals. He has scored in every match this year, helping Johnson & Wales maintain it's longest unbeaten start to a season in program history.
"Jalen's form has played a big role in our start, for sure," said head coach James Drzewiecki. "It's rubbing off on others as well. He's scoring a lot, but he's not been the only one. It's good to see us continue to create chances and put them away. It's something we struggled with last year, but we've done a better job this season."
Freshman striker Weeb Isaac added a pair of first half goals to push his season tally to six. Jackson and Isaac currently rank first and third, respectively, in the USCAA in scoring.
Goalkeeper Andrew Sanchez earned his first clean sheet for Johnson & Wales, but was not called on to make any saves.
The team will resume play on Thursday when it travels to Media, PA, to play USCAA foe Penn State Brandywine. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
