Men's Soccer Extends Unbeaten Streak in Win over Mustangs

Pineville, N.C. - The USCAA #4 Johnson & Wales men's soccer team scored eight times in the opening 23 minutes, winning 10-0 over in-state USCAA foe Mid-Atlantic Christian on Saturday at the OrthoCarolina Sportsplex.

Eight different players scored for the Wildcats (11-0-1).  Junior striker Jalen Jackson led the way with three goals and an assist, increasing his season goal scoring total to 24.

Sanjin Kostic, Pablo Morera, Tito Villanueva, Shawn Geiger, and Chris Garcia all found the net prior to halftime, with Weeb Isaac and Carlos Perez adding a pair of goals after the half to cap scoring.

Goalkeeper Andrew Sanchez earned his second clean sheet of the season for Johnson & Wales as the team held a 19-0 advantage in shots over the Mustangs.

The Wildcats are now unbeaten in 14 matches dating back to last season.

The team will resume play on Oct. 7 when it hosts Oxford College of Emory University at the OrthoCarolina Sportsplex.  Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
