Charlotte, N.C. - Directed by head men's soccer coach James Drzewiecki and associate head men's soccer coach Kev Summers, the Johnson & Wales University men's soccer program will host its annual Winter ID Men's Soccer Camp for prospective student-athletes on Saturday, Jan. 13.
The camp takes place at the OrthoCarolina SportsPlex in Pineville, N.C., and will run from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern.
Players have the chance to showcase their talents in front of the USCAA national finalist Johnson & Wales men's soccer coaching staff. This camp is designed for players capable of playing beyond high school and club level who have aspirations of becoming a collegiate student-athlete.
The camp is $40 to participate for early registrants, and $50 for walk-up registrations, space permitting.
"The Winter ID Camp is arguably the biggest day of the year for us in terms of our recruiting," said Drzewiecki. "Nearly half of our current roster features previous campers and it's become key in helping us establish a highly successful program."
The Wildcats men's soccer program is coming off its best season to date, finishing 17-1-2 on the season. Four different players earned USCAA All-American status, while junior striker Jalen Jackson earned USCAA National Player of the Year honors.
