Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales University sophomore Ineesha Hankerson has been named USCAA Women's Division II Basketball Player of the Week, the university announced on Wednesday.
Hankerson, a sophomore, recorded a double-double with 16 points and 15 boards against NCAA Division I institution North Carolina Central on Nov. 28. She followed up three days later with 21 points on 60 percent shooting from the floor and 14 rebounds against USCAA foe Mid-Atlantic Christian University.
It is the second time in Hankerson's career she has won the award, having also earned Player of the Week honors her freshman season.
Hankerson is averaging 13.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game, helping to pace Johnson & Wales to a 7-2 record this season and a program-best ranking of third in the USCAA Coaches Poll.
