Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson and Wales women's basketball has put an exclamation point on their outstanding season by receiving a bid to the USCAA National Championship tournament, scheduled for February 27th - March 3rd in Uniontown, PA.
The Wildcats (19-4) earned the #2 seed on their first ever visit to Nationals since the program's inaugural 2014-15 season. They will look to continue their hot streak of 11 straight wins as they begin tournament play at 4pm on Thursday Mar. 1st as they take on #7 Davis College in the main arena at Penn State Fayette.
"We are very proud of our women's basketball team for receiving their first bid to the USCAA National tournament and earning a # 2 seed" said Trudi Lacey, Director of Athletics. "Their hard work is being rewarded. This is a historic landmark for JWU Charlotte Athletic Department, sending 4 out of 5 teams to the National Tournament. Outstanding job by all."
