Wildcats Overwhelm Davis College in USCAA Quarterfinals

Lemont Furnace, PA - 2nd seeded Johnson and Wales opened USCAA National Tournament play with a convincing 90-40 win over 7th seeded Davis College (NY) on Thursday afternoon.

The Wildcats used defense and rebounding in the first half to build a 29 point halftime advantage. Davis was not able to mount any threat in the third quarter, making only one field goal and scoring 7 points as JWU's lead ballooned to 48. 

Each of the 12 Wildcats made at least one field goal. JWU held Davis to 22% shooting and outrebounded the Falcons 62-40.

Ineesha Hankerson led the Wildcat attack with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Chase Muhammad added 14 points, and Jada Morgan came off the bench to score 10 points and grab 6 rebounds. 

Brooke Lewandowski paced Davis with 12 points and 11 rebounds. 

JWU advances to play the winner of the 3/6 matchup between Maine-Augusta and Villa Maria College in the semi-finals Friday night at 7pm.
