JWU Announces Signing of Guard Jamyah Montissol
Charlotte, NC - Head women's basketball coach Jennifer King announced the signing of Jamyah Montissol as the second member of the 2018 recruiting class. Montissol is a 5'8" guard from Sugar Hill, GA.
 
She attended Lanier High School, where she was a team captain and helped lead Lanier to 20-5 season, capping it off with a Sweet 16 playoff appearance.
 
"We are so happy to have Jamyah join the JWU family. She is very athletic and capable of playing all three guard spots for us" Said Coach King. "She has also proven herself as an excellent leader and a winner. She is the type of player we need to continue to compete at the national level"
 
Montissol, who is the daughter of Stefan and Ja'Net Crayton, earned her second 1st Team All-Region honor and the Offensive Player of the Year award by averaging 15 points and 7 rebounds per game in 2017-18.
