JWU Hosted Volleyball Tri-Match on Saturday
On Saturday, October 15th JWU hosted our second volleyball tri-match that took place on campus. The match consisted of Johnson & Wales University, Spartanburg Methodist College, and Voorhees College.
The first game for the Wildcats began at 3:00pm. JWU played Spartanburg Methodist College. SMC took the lead early on in the match. JWU was unable to catch up and the Pioneers took the win 3 games to 0.
The Wildcats second game began at 7:00pm. JWU played the Tigers of Voorhees College. The Wildcats played tough and consistent throughout the whole match. The Wildcats took the win 3 games to 0.
Coach Phillips said, “Our team fundamentals were very good tonight. We worked very hard on our side to make good passes and play our game. I am pleased with our consistency.”
The Wildcats take on Catawba Valley Community College at home on October 18 at 7:00pm in the JWU Student Center. Come cheer on your Wildcats!
