Cordts brings athleticism and competitiveness to Johnson & Wales
Lauren Cordts finally made her college decision, and Coach Phillips
and the Johnson & Wales Wildcats are glad she chose them.
Lauren is a middle and rightside hitter who played for Souhegan
High School and Hardrock Volleyball Club in her hometown of
Amherst, NH.
Lauren will study sport/entertainment/event management at Johnson
& Wales. She showed her passion and abilities in this
area by organizing a three-legged race at her school to challenge
the current world record for her school senior project. She
also plays basketball and helped her team win the Division II New
Hampshire State Championship. "I cannot wait to start JWU
volleyball and begin a new chapter in my life," said
Lauren.
Coach
Phillips is looking forward to utilizing Lauren's athleticism on
the front row. "Lauren is deceptively fast," she said.
"She gets up very quickly on the block and anticipates well.
I look forward to working with her to become an intimidating
blocker."
Lauren joins Reanna Bray from Conyers, GA, Tori Dublino from Tarpon
Springs, FL, and ten upperclassmen players on the Johnson &
Wales team. The team is currently completing off-season
workouts in preparation for the season's start in
August.
