Johnson & Wales Lands a Coveted Recruit
The volleyball program at Johnson & Wales University got a huge
boost on April 28 with the signing of Reanna Bray from Conyers,
Georgia. Reanna is a outside/middle hitter from Rockdale
County High School, and she currently plays for the 18s team of the
Georgia Juniors club program.
Reanna plans to follow her dreams and study Culinary Arts at
Johnson & Wales this fall. She is excited to begin
preparing for her career as a chef. She also enjoys creating
other forms of art in her free time when she is not
playing volleyball or working at McDonald's.
Coach Callie Phillips is anticipating that Reanna will fit in well
with the returning Johnson & Wales players. "Reanna
brings a positive energy to her team," she said. "I look
forward to watching how she transitions to the college game and
applies to her talents to the game at this level. I am also
honored that she chose JWU over several other schools. This
speaks volumes for our school and our volleyball
program."
Reanna joins six returning players from last season and four
players who were added to the team in a spring tryout. The
team will begin its schedule in August and play its home matches in
JWU's new student center.
