The Lady Wildcats are ranked #9 in the latest USCAA Coaches Poll released Friday. It is the highest national ranking ever achieved in the history of the Lady Wildcat Volleyball program. JWU moved up 6 spots from #15 in the Week 1 poll after going 3-1 during the week. The only loss was a 5 set decision to Livingstone College. The three wins were highlighted by a win in the first home game of the season as Lady 'Cats easily dispatched Wytheville Community College, 3-0.

JWU plays 4 times in the next 5 days. They head to Front Royal, Va to participate in the Crusader Invitational at Christendom College this weekend. They then return home to host in-town rival Johnson C. Smith on Tuesday night. JWU swept the season series from J.C. Smith last year, and hopes to build on that momentum when the Lady Bulls come calling.
