Charlotte, NC - The USCAA #5 Johnson & Wales volleyball team claimed a comfortable 3-0 win over Davidson County Community College on Tuesday, winning 25-16, 25-13, 25-22 at the Wildcat Center.

The Wildcats (11-9) have now won six of their last seven matches and continued to show their good form on Tuesday.  Their only blemish during that run has been a 3-2 loss to Wake Tech Community College, a team Johnson & Wales will rematch later this week.

"I'm happy with our consistency today," said head coach Callie Phillips.  "We controlled the tempo and our side of the net throughout the match.  The errors we made were as we were trying to execute, so those we can build on.  We look forward to a rematch with Wake Tech on Thursday."

Johmillet Berrios finished with 13 kills for the Wildcats while Halle Franklin led the team with 10 assists.  Kendall Watson posted a game high seven serving aces while also recording 15 digs.

Tiy Gonzalez added four blocks for the hosts.

The Wildcats will travel to Raleigh, NC, on Thursday to play Wake Tech.  Play is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
