Volleyball Comes From Behind to Win at John Wesley

High Point, N.C. - The USCAA #7 Johnson & Wales volleyball team emerged with a come-from-behind victory in five sets at John Wesley on Tuesday, winning 25-15, 20-25, 16-25, 25-14, 15-11.

The win is the fourth straight for the Wildcats (16-11) and marks the second time the team has defeated John Wesley this season.

"As you can see by the scores, this was definitely a match of swinging momentum," said head coach Callie Phillips.  "Both teams were able to claim the upper hand at various points in the match, but we were fortunate to be the ones with the bigger push in Game 5.  I'm very pleased with our team's fight and resolve in this match, and I hope this will serve us well in our regular season finale and hopefully postseason play."

Johmillet Berrios finished with 13 kills for Johnson & Wales while Moana Reid posted 32 assists.  Kendall Watson led the team with 29 digs on the night while Reid and Keri Ketchie each added 18 digs of their own.

The Wildcats will shift their attention to the final match of the regular season as they host Bob Jones University on Thursday.  Johnson & Wales senior Madison Steed will be honored in her final home match.  Play is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the Wildcat Center.
