Volleyball Signs First Member of 2018 Class

Charlotte, NC - Branchville High School senior Lynasia Felder, a member of the 2016 state champions, has signed with Johnson & Wales as the first member of the 2018 recruiting class.

The Branchville, SC native plays outside hitter, and will be a fantastic fit, according to head coach Callie Phillips.

"Lynasia's winning mentality and work ethic are exactly what I look for in my recruits. She has proven that she is a great player and an even better person and teammate, and I can't wait to work with her at JWU."

Felder was a member of Branchville teams that played for the 1A state championship in each of her 4 years. She was an all region player in each of her first three years in high school, and was named to the 2016 Class A All-State Team. 

She plans to major in Sports, Event, and Entertainment Management, and is an A/B Honor Roll student in addition to being Vice President of the Senior Class.

In addition to her volleyball accolades, Lynasia is a three-time MVP of the Branchville basketball team. She also played club volleyball with C4 Volleyball Club and Orangeburg Lady Cubs Volleyball Club.

She is the daughter of Andrea and Lyn Felder.
