Watauga's Taylor Walker Signs With JWU Volleyball

Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte is happy to announce the signing of Taylor Walker of Boone, NC as the fourth member of the 2018 recruiting class.

Walker is a Middle Hitter/Right Side Hitter from Watauga High School in Boone. She helped lead the Pioneers to a 22-3 record in 2017, and recorded 49 kills and 40 blocks during her senior season under coach Kris Hagaman. She plans on majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Retail at JWU.

Head Coach Callie Phillips remarked on what makes Walker a key addition to the Wildcats in 2018. "Taylor gives us another strong option at middle and rightside hitter, and she comes from a fantastic high school program at Watauga. She has good footwork, works hard to make herslef available to hit, and does the little things to make others around her better. I'm excited to see what she will do as a Wildcat, on and off the court."

Walker plays club volleyball for Club Synergy under coaches Sydney Farthing and Tierney Flaherty. She is the daugher of Christy and Eric Walker.
