Student-Athletes Honored at Annual Year End Banquet

Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte held its annual Athletics Recognition Banquet on Saturday night in order to recognize the numerous accomplishments of Wildcat student-athletes during this truly special year in the history of the program. Following dinner, Athletic Director Trudi Lacey and Manager of Alumni Relations Chris Plano presented the Above & Beyond Award, named for the latter, to Jerry Lanuzza, chair of the College of Culinary Arts for everything he has done on behalf of the Athletic Department in 2017-18. This was followed by recognition of all state and national award winners. Each head coach spoke about their specific team and season and gave out several team awards. Each team also recognized Eastern Metro Athletic Conference All-Academic award winners, the first official acts as members of the new conference. The ceremony closed with the announcement of the Female and Male Student-Athletes of the Year.
