Charlotte, NC - JWU Volleyball Coach Callie Phillips has added Natalie Carpenter as the newest member of the 2019 recruiting class. The Kennesaw, Georgia native is a defensive specialist and has represented both Crossfire Volleyball and VolleyOne at the club level. Additionally, she finished third at the Rox Rally Beach Volleyball Tournament, earning a bid to nationals.
"Natalie is a very hard worker, and her love for the sport is obvious," remarked Coach Phillips. "She already has the traits of a fantastic teammate, and I can't wait to see how she grows as a player here."
Natalie is the daughter of Tracy and Michael Carpenter and is homeschooled through Seton Home Study. She plans to major in Baking & Pastry.
On why she chose JWU: "It had what I was wanting to major in, and it was near my sister, and I could play volleyball here." She also gave special thanks to her middle school coach, Keyaira Stevenson, for all of her support over the years.
