Columbia, SC -- Coming off a weekend sweep of their JWU Invitational games, the Johnson & Wales University Men's Basketball Team went on the road to Allen University to battle the Yellow Jackets. The Wildcats played two contrasting halves, outscoring Allen in the first half by eight, but losing the second half by fifteen points to allow Allen to come away with the 71-64 victory. The Wildcats did not shoot the ball well with only 32.3% of their field goal attempts dropping, and they were only 27.6 from three-point range. It was a disappointing outing for the tenth-ranked Wildcats as they look to move up in the USCAA standings this week.
JWU dips to 9-10 with the loss. Tramain Parker led the Wildcats with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Joshua Cohen added 14 points and 8 rebounds, and DeQuincey Bennett also had 13 points on the night. JWU's next game is next Tuesday, January 27 at Bob Jones University. Game time is 7:00 PM.
