Wildcats Survive in USCAA Quarterfinals

Uniontown, PA -- The Wildcats emerged victorious in their opening game in USCAA National Tournament play Thursday afternoon against Penn State York.  JWU needed 23 points from Tramain Parker and a clutch basket from Nick Crawford to hold off Penn State York and pull away in the closing minute.  The Wildcats clung to a two-point lead with just 1:21 to play, but they were able to force some Penn State York turnovers and keep their composure down the stretch.

The win is the twentieth for the Wildcats this season as they are now 20-10.  They advance in the tournament and will meet the winner of the match-up between #1 Southern Maine Community College and #9 Penn State Mont Alto.  Game time is tomorrow at 5:00 PM.  Watch the game live at basketball.theuscaa.com/live and follow the live stats on the JWU Athletics schedule page.
