JWU Men's Basketball Signs Philadelphia Native Brandon Cole

Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales University Charlotte men’s basketball head coach Jim Casciano, and his staff, announced the signing of Brandon Cole (Philadelphia, PA/West Catholic Prep HS) on Thursday.

The 6’4” swingman has been a standout for West Catholic, where he earned Honorable Mention All-Catholic honors from the Daily News.  He has also been named the MVP of several events, including the All City Classic, the Jameer Nelson Holiday Classic, and Street Legends.

He is also ranked fourth in his graduating class at West Catholic.

Cole joins the Wildcats on the heels of the program’s most successful season to date, including a 20-11 record and a run to the semifinals of the USCAA Men’s Division II Basketball National Championship.

“Brandon is a versatile player with size that comes from a great city for basketball – Philadelphia,” said Casciano.  “I am excited that he has decided to join us and I look forward to him being an integral part of our program.”

Cole is the son of James Cole and Nashae Harris and intends to study Culinary Arts or Business.
