Charleston Southern Dominates Post in Win over Wildcats

North Charleston, SC - NCAA Division 1 program Charleston Southern used a dominant interior game to see off the USCAA #15 Johnson & Wales men's basketball team 100-53 on Saturday.

Charleston Southern's marked height advantage helped the hosts claim a 42-22 rebounding advantage on the night.  They outscored Johnson & Wales (2-6) 46-18 in the paint and held a 13-0 advantage in second chance points.

Freshman Majerle Poole led Johnson & Wales with 15 points while junior Alcyone Moore came off the bench to score 12 points.

Senior Rickey Porter was the only other Wildcat in double figures with 11 points.

Charleston Southern's Armel Potter led all scorers with 21 points on the night.

Johnson & Wales returns to action on Monday as they host Columbia International University.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Wildcat Center.
