Charlotte, NC - JWU Charlotte head men's basketball coach Dan Larkin is proud to announce the signing of Zyrion Wilkins of R-S Central High School in Rutherfordton, NC. The son of LaToya Hamilton and Jerome Wilkins wraps up his high school career as one of the most decorated players in school history.

Wilkins, a 6'4" wing, finished his prep career as the second all-time leading scorer in in school history. In addition to his 1,470 points scored, he also accumulated 783 rebounds, 107 blocks, and 193 steals. Wilkins has garnered regional accolades for his play, as well. In 2017-2018 he was recognized as the Southwestern 2A Conference Player of the Year. Additionally, after being named to the NC Basketball Coaches Association District 10 2nd team in 2016-2017, he added 1st Team honors in 2017-2018.

Coach Dan Larkin was obviously excited to add a player and person of Zyrion's caliber. "Zyrion is an unbelievable basketball talent but more importantly he is an even better person. There is no ceiling on what Zyrion can accomplish during his career here at JWU."
