Wildcats Outpaced By Runnin’ Bulldogs

Boiling Springs, NC - The JWU men's basketball team took on Gardner-Webb University on Saturday for their second matchup with an NCAA D1 opponent in the last four days.

Gardner-Webb (6-5) jumped out to a 15 point lead in the game's first 10 minutes and never looked back. JWU struggled from the field, shooting just 31% for the game, while also being out-rebounded 48-30. The Wildcats connected on twelve 3-point shots, including six from Majerle Poole, who led all scorers with 19 points. Robert Hobson also had 11 points for JWU (4-5).

The Wildcats next scheduled game on Dec. 10 vs Voorhees has been postponed with inclement weather incoming. They return to the court on Dec. 12 for a matchup at crosstown opponent Queens University. Tip-off is scheduled for 12pm.
