Darlington, SC Native Scott Inks With JWU Men's Basketball

Charlotte, NC - JWU Men's Basketball Head Coach Dan Larkin announced the signing of Kenynon Scott as the most recent addition to the 2019 recruiting class. The 5'11" combo guard out of Darlington High School makes his it up to JWU by way of Darlington, SC.

Kenynon is the son of Antonia Eaddy and comes to Johnson & Wales in pursuit of a degree in Sports Management. The senior MVP for the Falcons averaged 16.8 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, and 2.6 assists per game. His 53 3-point field goals helped the team to a record of 24-4 and a Final Four appearance in the SCHSL 4A state playoffs this winter. In addition to his team's success, Kenynon also scored SCHSL Class 4A All State-Team, All Region 6-4A Team, and North-South All Star selection accolades.

Scott says he chose to attend JWU because it "felt more like home for me, so me and my family knew I'd fit right in here and the play style is how we play at Darlington." Kenynon also stated that he was intrigued by the JWU's growing Sports Management program.

"Kenynon is a winner, on and off the court. He fits in so well with the pieces that we already have in place, that not only will he have great success during his time here in Charlotte, but he is going to make everyone around him better throughout that process. I cannot wait to get to work with this young man," states Wildcat Head Coach Dan Larkin.
