Wildcats Outpace Thoroughbreds, 98-81

Apex, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte Men's Basketball Team traveled to Blue Lights College on Tuesday and won their 22nd game of the season, a new school record.

The first half was fairly even, with a late run by the Wildcats giving them a 9 point advantage at halftime. JWU came out of the gates hot in the second half, extending the lead to 16. The Thoroughbreds cut the lead to 6, but the Wildcats responded with a run of their own, stretching their lead to 30 points before the game ended with a 98-81 JWU victory.

Complete stats were not available, but the Wildcats were led in scoring by Majerle Poole with 20 points, CJ MIller with 17, Zyrion Wilkins with 13, and Robert Hobson with 11.

The Wildcats conclude their EMAC regular season game on Saturday, February 22nd, with a 4:00 pm tip-off at Clinton College.
