Men's Soccer Signs Great Bridge's Triplett

Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte Men's Soccer Coach Matt Payne has announced Ian Triplett as the newest member of the 2019 recruiting class. Born in Dallas, TX, the midfielder comes to JWU via Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, VA. Named Second Team All District his senior year, the Great Bridge captain also plays club soccer for Virginia Rush Soccer Club.

The son of Paul and Courtney Triplett, Ian is an Honors student and plans to major in Corporate Accounting and Financial Analysis.

"The size, style, and location of school and opportunity to play for a solid soccer program," replied Triplett when asked why he chose Johnson & Wales University.

"I am excited to have Ian on board. He's a great player and an even better young man," commented Wildcats Head Coach Payne. "I think he can make an immediate impact on our program in the middle of the field, and his versatility and tenacity helped set him apart in the recruiting process."
