Men's Soccer Falls To Bruins 1-0

Charlotte, NC - The JWU Men's Soccer Team hosted Bob Jones University on Friday during Family Weekend. The Wildcats fell to the visiting Bruins 1-0.

It was even contest, with Bob Jones outshooting the Wildcats 12-11. Bob Jones, ranked #4 in NCCAA D2, put four of those shots on goal compared to two for JWU. In the end, the Bruins' Jesse Rush scored the winner in the 85th minute.

"Another game, another good defensive effort, another game that we have wasted a few precious opportunities," commented JWU Head Coach Matt Payne. "Bob Jones is a good team, and I thought they were better than us technically, but the missed chances continue to haunt us. I'm proud of the hard-working shift the guys have put in, but we have to be better moving forward."

#2 JWU moves to 8-4-1 on the season and will host EMAC foe ranked Warren Wilson, ranked #15 in the latest USCAA D2 coaches poll, on Tuesday, October 22nd at 7:00 pm.
