Charlotte. NC – Johnson & Wales University Charlotte Men's Soccer Coach Matt Payne is happy to announce Pablo Arguello as the newest member of the 2020 recruiting class.
Arguello is a Charlotte native and represented Independence High School in both soccer and cross country. Arguello plays as a midfielder or forward and plays his club soccer for Coach Payne in Charlotte Independence Soccer Club's ECNL program.
"I chose Johnson & Wales because I couldn't see myself leaving the city I was born and raised in. Also, first impressions are big for me, and when I came for my official campus tour, my dad and I were extremely happy with everyone who talked to us and guided us through the process," responded Arguello when asked why he chose Johnson & Wales. "In addition to that, after the couple of months being coached by coach Matt, it was a no-brainer. He knows how to utilize me on the field, and I completely trust his methods. At the end of the day, he wants a winning season and so do I."
Pablo is the son of Pablo R. Arguello, and plans to major in Business Administration.
"We are excited to add Pablo to the JWU family," commented Coach Payne. "He is one of the most motivated and self-sufficient student-athletes I've ever recruited. He is also a dynamic soccer player. His creativity and 1v1 ability will be a huge asset for us this fall."
