Lady Wildcats Come Up Short in Comeback at JWU Cup

North Miami, FL -- The Johnson & Wales Charlotte Lady Wildcats fell behind big to Johnson & Wales North Miami in their first game in the JWU Cup, but they fought back to narrow the margin in the second half.  Down by as many as thirty points in the first half, Charlotte closed the gap in the second half and eventually lost the game by a score of 71-57.  While they did not come out with the win, the Charlotte Lady Wildcats certainly did not give up or quit, despite the big deficit.

The Lady Wildcats (3-6) were led by Vanderia Shackleford with 15 points.  Justina Tyler and Donyelle Stuetley each had 13 for Charlotte.  The Lady Wildcats will play in the consolation game on Saturday at 1:00 PM, where they will take on JWU Providence.  They will also play JWU Denver in North Miami on Sunday at 12:00 PM before making the trip back to Charlotte.
