North Miami, FL -- Following the JWU Cup, the Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's basketball team stayed around to take on the Johnson & Wales Denver team to get in an extra game. JWU Charlotte seemed tired and run down from the JWU Cup and lost to Denver by a score of 116-54. Donyelle Stuetley led the Charlotte Lady Wildcats with 17 points and 9 rebounds, and Courtney Pate added 10 points. The loss completes a tough trip for the Lady Wildcats as they went 0-3 against the JWU campuses over the weekend.
Charlotte goes to 3-8 on the season and returns to North Carolina to take on Johnson C. Smith University on Tuesday in a special day game. It's "School Kids Day" and the game, and the teams will play for a crowd of local students at Johnson C. Smith's Brayboy Gymnasium. Game time is 11:00 AM.
