Charlotte, NC - A balanced offensive effort by the Johnson & Wales women's basketball team paced the Wildcats to an 89-47 victory over Columbia International University on Wednesday at the Wildcat Center.
All 12 players scored for Johnson & Wales (4-2), led by Vanderia Shackleford's 15 points and six assists. The Wildcats shot nearly 57 percent for the game while holding Columbia International to just 28 percent shooting on 19-of-67 from the floor.
Columbia International was led by Liz Jenkins with 13 points.
The Wildcats outscored the visitors 40 to 18 in the paint while the bench came up big with a 35-11 advantage.
The win snaps a two-game skid for the Wildcats. The 42-point victory is the team's largest margin of victory this season and the second largest in program history.
Johnson & Wales will resume play on Friday when the team travels to NCAA D1 opponent North Carolina Central. Tip-off is at 6:00 p.m.
