Women's Basketball Adds Rock Hill Native Joyiah White

CHARLOTTE, NC -- JWU Women's Basketball Coach Ashley Raley-Ross announced Joyiah White as the seventh member of the 2020 recruiting class. From Rock Hill, SC, White attended South Pointe High School. The forward played AAU basketball for 1Dream.

"I chose JWU Charlotte because I felt that Coach Ashley and I had an instant bond," said White. "I can tell that she is genuinely a caring person and is also going to push me."

Joyiah is the daughter of Erin Moore and Devon White. The Principal's Scholar and Beta Club Member plans to major in Health Science at JWU.

"Joyiah is going to immediately make an impact on our team! She has great length and skill that is going to thrive in our system," commented Coach Raley-Ross. "Joyiah is a tremendous young lady on and off the court. Her work ethic is consistent not only on the court but in the classroom as well. I am extremely excited and thankful Joyiah is joining us. I can not wait to work with her!
