Women's Basketball Lands Sharpshooting Transfer Dorsey

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Johnson & Wales Charlotte Women's Basketball Coach Ashley Raley-Ross has added another high quality player to the program in TaNaeschia "Tee" Dorsey. Dorsey transfers to JWU from Clinton College in Rock Hill, SC, where she was the team MVP in the 2018-2019 season. In the 2017-2018 season, Dorsey averaged 18.9 points per game, including connecting on 55.6% from the three point line. The combo guard is originally from Charlotte and was All-Conference at Rocky River High School in the 14-15 and 15-16 seasons. Dorsey played AAU for NC Spartans.

"Being in college doesn't just consist of getting an education and furthering your athletic career to me. It is about building a family & feeling at home while accomplishing all those things," commented Dorsey on why she chose Johnson & Wales. "At JWU, I know those things will be accomplished the right way while building a sisterhood with my teammates!"

TaNaeschia is the daughter of Paulette Lindsay & Damion Robinson. In addition to being recognized as an All-Academic Team honoree at Clinton College, she was also named on the Dean's List four times.

"Tee brings maturity, athleticism, and IQ to our team. She is going to excel in our offense and bring tenacity on defense," said Coach Raley-Ross. "I'm very excited to be able to work with Tee and thankful she chose to be  a part of our Wildcat Family!"
