Norfolk, VA - Johnson & Wales junior guard Kara Scott was recently named to the inaugural United State Collegiate Athletic Association National Student-Athlete Advisory Council. The USCAA is creating the council to to enhance the student-athlete experience by giving students a voice at the national level, fostering opportunity, and promoting a positive student-athlete image.
Scott is one of fourteen USCAA student-athletes from member institutions across the country who will serve on the council. The group will create a voice for student-athletes at the national level, enhance student engagement, and much more to enhance the student-athlete image. There is at least one member on the council from each of the USCAA National Championship sports.
A Yadkinville, NC native, Scott joined the team in December 2019 after transferring from Wingate University. She appeared in 16 games, making 12 starts. She averaged 2.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 2019-20.
