Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Women's Golf incoming freshman golfer Morgan Carson has been awarded a scholarship by the JustOne Foundation of Greensboro, NC. The scholarship is awarded based not only on the academic excellence of the recipient, but also the activities that make them a well-rounded person.

Carson was an A/B honor roll student at Dudley High School in Greensboro, graduating in 2020. She has also already earned a Certificate of Excellence from JWU for Culinary Arts and Hospitality. Morgan was also the first ever member of the Dudley women's golf team. She qualified for the NCHSAA 3A Central Regional Golf Tournament in both 2018 and 2019. She was named the 2019 Piedmont Triad 3A Conference Player of the Year, and was also an Academic All-Conference selection.

"We know Carson as an outstanding golfer who carried her team in our first tournament," said Justin Washington, Executive Director of the JustOne Foundation. "We also know she has some ambitious plans for a career in culinary arts. Our board wishes her well in her studies, and decided to award her a modest scholarship to help her out with some of her expenses."

Carson and her teammates will begin the inaugural season of Johnson & Wales Charlotte Women's Golf in the Spring of 2021.
