Women's Soccer Drops Game At PIU

Bermuda Run, NC - JWU's Women's Soccer Team traveled to Piedmont International University seeking their 5th win of the season. The game was played in constant rainfall, and the Wildcats fell to PIU 1-3.

The game was deadlocked in the first half until the Bruins (3-7) struck twice right before halftime, in the 41st and 45th minute. #9 JWU clawed back into the game on a Danielle Doyle goal in the 64th minute, but PIU notched a key goal in the 84th minute to finish the scoring. Sarah Toler recorded 6 saves in goal for the Wildcats (4-6).

Despite the weather and result, Head Coach Matt Hisler sees the bright side: "The ladies are very close to putting all of the pieces together."

JWU hosts Central Penn on Friday at 7:00 pm.
