Charlotte, NC - Eboni Montague has been announced as the latest addition to the Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's soccer team. Eboni is a transfer from Concord University, a NCAA DII institute located in West Virginia. The dynamic forward played her high school soccer at East Wake High School where she was a 4 year varsity starter. While at East Wake, she garnered All-Conference honors all four years as well as being named team MVP. The Zebulon native also played for East Wake Soccer Association. Additionally, she was a four year captain and MVP for the school's tennis team.
The daughter of Selena and Loring Montague plans to major in marketing. While in high school she was recognized as Academic All-Conference on four occasions, and was President of the Student Government for three of her four years.
"Eboni is an exciting pick up for us. She brings a high level of physicality, sees the game well, has texture in her passing, and is comfortable finishing with either foot," said Wildcats Head Coach Matt Hisler. "I expect her to be an imposing presence in our attack and contribute right away. As teammate, she is exactly what we are looking for: unselfish, generous, and committed."
