Charlotte, NC - The 2012-2013 Women's Volleyball Schedule is set, and it is shaping up to be the best in the 3 year history of the program. It features many traditional opponents as well as a few new schools that Wildcat fans will be excited to see.
The DNC will force the Lady Wildcats to open the season with 8 straight road games, the first of which is against Wytheville CC, whom the 'Cats split with last season. Sandhills CC makes their first appearance on the schedule as a game opponent, as does Piedmont International University. The road trip wraps up on Sept. 7 & 8 as the Wildcats participate in the Livingstone College Invitational. They will face off against Edward Waters, Virginia-Lynchburg and the hosts over the two day event.
The home opener is Tuesday, Sept. 11 as Wytheville CC makes the return trip to the Student Center. Wytheville CC was the first ever home win for the Lady Wildcats last season. JWU swept the season series in 2011. The 'Cats finish out the month of September with 3 more road games followed by a home tilt with Davidson County CC on Sept. 27th.
October ushers in the longest home stand of the season with 4 games in 5 days. Surry CC pays a visit on Oct. 2 followed by Catawba Valley CC on Oct. 4. The home stand wraps up with the JWU Tri Match on Saturday, Oct. 6, as the Wildcats host Voorhees and Spartanburg Methodist.
