Sam is a defensive specialist from Pasadena, MD and attends Northeast High School. She currently plays for TCA Volleyball Club out of Baltimore, MD. Sam plans to study Baking & Pastry Arts at JWU in the fall.

    High Point, NC - Sophomore Outside Hitter Moriah Hughes was selected as a member of the 2013 NCCSIA College Division All-State Volleyball Team earlier today. She is the first Johnson & Wales athlete so honored.

    Raleigh, NC - The Lady Wildcats (24-9) hit the road this morning as they competed in the Shaw University Tri-Match. No. 7 JWU won both their matches 3-0 against the Shaw University Lady Bears and the Lady Hornets of Morris College.

The Lady Wildcats extended their school record win streak to ten games as they emerged victorious in both contests.

    Charlotte, NC - No. 7 Johnson & Wales continued their five game homestand Tuesday night as they hosted in-state rival Mid-Atlantic Christian (2-13). The Lady Wildcats made quick work of the Lady Mustangs, winning 3-0 and securing the first 20 win season in program history.

    Charlotte, NC - No. 7 Johnson & Wales (12-8) hosted NJCAA D-II powerhouse Catawba Valley Community College on Tuesday night. The undefeated Lady Buccaneers (24-0) were as good as advertised. The Lady Wildcats shook off a slow start, and made it a very competitive match, but ultimately fell in three games.

    Front Royal, Va - The Lady Wildcats (10-5) (8th in the USCAA Coaches Poll) took on the Crusaders (5-6) (20th in the USCAA Coaches Poll) for a second time this weekend, and beat them 3-0 for a second time as well. JWU set a new school record with their 8th consecutive win, bettering by one the seven game streak from the 2012-2103 season.

    Front Royal, Va - The Lady Wildcats (9-5) (8th in the USCAA Coaches Poll) hit the road this weekend as they competed in the Christendom College Tournament on Friday and Saturday. JWU won their first match against the Crusaders of Christendom College (5-5) (20th in the USCAA Coaches Poll), 3-0. The win was the seventh in a row for JWU, which equals the school record.
