Volleyball Victorious At Livingstone

Salisbury, NC - Johnson & Wales University's Women's Volleyball Team traveled to Livingstone College seeking their ninth win of the season. The Wildcats did not disappoint, coming home victorious, 3-1.

JWU took the first two sets, 25-20, 25-20. The Blue Bears (2-3) took set three, 25-15, before the Wildcats roared back in the fourth set, 25-21.

Iyana Favor and Tiy Gonzalez both had 8 kills, and Moana Reid recorded 27 assists. Kendall Watson led JWU (9-4) with 25 digs.

Head Coach Callie Phillips was pleased with the team's performance: "Livingstone brought the heat in the third set, but we were able to get back on track and close them out. Their block is very tough, but we adapted well and made plays to get the job done."

JWU is next scheduled to play on Sept. 14 at Toccoa Falls and Sept. 15 at Agnes Scott, weather pending.
