Volleyball Drops Road Match To Bruins

Winston-Salem, NC - The Johnson & Wales Volleyball Team took on the Piedmont International University on Thursday evening, falling 3-0 to the Bruins.

The Wildcats dropped the first set 25-21 before falling 25-18 in set two. The Bruins would then clinch the match with a 25-20 third set victory. Moana Reid paced JWU with 17 assists while Demya Scott led the way with 13 digs.

"We were out of sync tonight for sure," said JWU Head Coach Callie Phillips. "PIU brought a lot of energy and fight, and we didn't stand up as well as I would have hoped."

The Wildcats travel to Mid-Atlantic Christian University on September 21st for a tri-match with host MACU and Christendom College at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, respectively.
