Wildcats Down Flyers In Three

Charlotte, NC - The JWU Volleyball Team collected their third straight three set victory, this time over Sandhills CC on Tuesday night.

After taking set one 25-22, the Wildcats surged to a 25-15 victory in set two. The third set presented the most resistance from the Flyers, but JWU would find victory with a 27-25 set three win. Iyana Favor and Taylor Walker led the Wildcats with 9 kills each. Moana Reid, recently tabbed as the USCAA D2 National Setter of the Week, led JWU with 25 assists and 11 digs.

"I'm really pleased with our confidence and persistence tonight. Sandhills is a good team, and we knew they wouldn't go down easily," remarked JWU Head Coach Callie Phillips after the win. "We were aggressive when we needed to be and made plays when it counted.  We look forward to the opportunity to continue to improve in our upcoming matches."

The Wildcats extend their winning streak to three matches and move to 10-3 on the season. They return to the court on September 27th for a 6:00 pm tip-off at Pfeiffer University.
