JWU Volleyball Signs Georgia Native Bostic

Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Volleyball Coach Callie Phillips announced Madison Bostic as the latest member of the 2020 recruiting class.

Bostic is a 5'10" Outside Hitter/Middle Blocker from Augusta, GA. She attended Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School where she played first for Coach Eddie Byrd and then for Coach Evalissa Young. She received the team's Coach's Award in 2018 and was 1st Team All-Area during the 2017-2018 school year. Bostic also played soccer for RCTCMS.

"I chose JWU because I feel like I will have the utmost learning experience from the new health science program. I know my time here will be the greatest yet. Charlotte was my pick because I adore the city and have always wanted to go to school here," replied Bostic when asked why she selected JWU. "I am extremely excited to be working with and learning new things from the team."

Madison is the daughter of Decia and Juan Valencia and plans to major in Health Sciences. She was an A/B Honor Roll Student and is an Honors Graduate.

"Madison's coach spoke very highly of her work ethic, potential, and character," commented Coach Phillips. "I'm looking forward to working with her and welcoming her to the family in 2020. I'm thrilled she has chosen to be a Wildcat."
