Marquisha Clayburn has been an assistant coach for the Wildcats since 2013. She came to JWU from Johnson C. Smith University, where she served as Head Coach for four years. In 2001, Clayburn graduated from Johnson C. Smith where she played basketball and volleyball. She started as an outside hitter and middle blocker for four years and holds school records in blocks, kills, and service aces. During her time at Johnson C. Smith, Clayburn was named All-CIAA three times. Clayburn brings valuable years of volleyball experience as a coach and player. Her positive attitude, along with her motivating spirit, will help the team. She believes in determination, hard work, and teamwork in addition to school and community involvement.
Clayburn's chief responsibilities are working with the team's offensive and coordinating its training programs. She is also involved in player development and oversees the team's career committees. Clayburn currently resides in Charlotte, NC with her family.
