On October 16, 2010 the Lady Wildcats competed in a tri-match hosted by Johnson C. Smith University.
The Wildcats started off the tri-match by playing Voorhees College Lady Tigers. The Wildcats were defeated with a final score of Voorhees College 3 and Johnson & Wales 2. In the first game of the match the Wildcats came out strong holding a comfortable lead throughout the game. With Taylee Tellechea and Felicia Anderson's excellent net play, they helped the Wildcats to a 27-25 victory. The scores of all five games were 27-25, 16-25, 25-21, 28-30, 14-16.
After the loss to the Lady Tigers, the Wildcats faced the Johnson C. Smith Lady Bulls. In this match up, the Wildcats came out aggressive taking an early 4 point lead. The Wildcats closed out the first game 27-25 lead by Felicia Anderson's excellent net play and Shanna Stewart along with Taylee Tellechea's outstanding offense. The next game the Wildcats came out with a slow start trailing 6-0. The Lady Bulls took the game 25-23.The third game was a back and forth battle, but the Wildcats fell short once again to the Lady Bulls 25-21. In the fourth and final game the Wildcats came out with another slow start letting the game slip away 25-15.
The Wildcats are looking forward to their next upcoming home matches that will take place on October 19th against Spartanburg Methodist College, October 21st against Davidson County Community College and October 26th against Columbia College.
