This afternoon, Johnson and Wales University took on Spartanburg Methodist College in the first game of the tri-match. SMC came out strong to take the victory, 3 games to 0.

The Wildcats played similar to their last match against Winston-Salem State University. They had many stretches of solid defense and solid serving, but were unable to slow down the attacks made by the offense of the Pioneers. SMC took the lead in each game and finished the match with a victory. The results of game one were 25-17; game two 25-16; and game three 25-17.
