The Wildcats took on the Tigers of Voorhees College this evening in the JWU Student Center. The Wildcats were unable to put up a win this evening, losing to the Tigers 105-50.
The game started with strong offense from both teams, but the Wildcats were unable to keep their momentum, falling quickly behind. The score was close early on, which gave both teams the opportunity to take the lead. The Tigers got their game together in the later part of the first half, forcing the Wildcats to foul often. Entering half time, VC led the game 43-27.
In the second half, strong defensive pressure from both teams led to multiple turnovers. The Tigers got their offense back together quickly and went on a 14-2 run midway through the half. Their offensive momentum continued as they cruised to a victory with a final score of 105-50.
The Wildcats were led in points by BJ Sumter and Michael Daniel with 15 and 10 points respectively.
The Wildcats will take on Randolph College this Saturday, January 14th at 2:00pm in the JWU Student Center. Come out and support your Wildcats!
