Raleigh, NC - The Lady Wildcats (18-8) (Ranked 7th in USCAA Coaches Poll) traveled to Raleigh today to take part in the Wake Technical Community College Tri-Match.  JWU swept the tri-match earning a 3-0 win against Lenoir CC and a 3-1 triumph over the hosts, Wake Tech CC. 

The Lady Wildcats cruised to a 3-0 victory in their first match against Lenoir CC. Game scores were 25-12, 25-16, and 25-12. Moriah Hughes led the Lady Wildcats with 16 digs and 7 kills. Kylie Marquardt added 11 assists.

JWU was able to continue their strong play from match one into match two against Wake Tech CC. Game one ended with a score of 25-13. The Lady Wildcats fell in game two, 25-16, but were able to finish game three and four with scores of 25-23 and 25-22, respectively. Madelyn Leonard totaled 10 kills and earned her second straight match point ace. Hughes and Reanna Bray both had 7 kills. Marquardt added 12 assists.

The Lady Wildcats are next in action at home on Monday, October 14th at 6pm against Sandhills CC.
