Box Score 2 Raleigh, NC - The Lady Wildcats (24-9) hit the road this morning as they competed in the Shaw University Tri-Match. No. 7 JWU won both their matches 3-0 against the Shaw University Lady Bears and the Lady Hornets of Morris College.
JWU took the early lead over the Bears in game one of the match and never looked back. Game one ended with a score of 25-13, game two 25-14, and game three 25-22. Kylie Marquardt led the Lady Wildcats with 15 assists and 5 kills. Summer Meredith tallied 11 digs. Madelyn Leonard had 6 kills, while Lucy Herrmann and Reanna Bray had 5 kills each.
The Lady Wildcats found themselves on top early in match two, and cruised home from there. JWU took game one 25-9, game two 25-22, and game three 25-11. Leonard had 11 kills and 4 blocks. Moriah Hughes added 17 digs and Marquardt totaled 15 assists.
The team will travel to Canton, NY for the USCAA National Championships from October 31st to November 2nd.
